Story angles for journalists
The "honest sports betting" angle. Most paid sports tout services cherry-pick wins and quietly delete losers. Signal Labs publishes a public, append-only ledger of every pick — wins and losses logged the same day. Methodology is fully documented. CLV is tracked on every pick. Sample sizes are flagged honestly.
The "Kalshi/Polymarket trader builds DFS tool" angle. Founder applied prediction-market arbitrage infrastructure (event-outcome probability modeling, calibration math) to sports betting and DFS lineup construction. Same techniques used in derivatives markets now applied to point spreads and ownership leverage.
The "AI search era" angle. Signal Labs is one of the few sports betting platforms publishing methodology + glossary explicitly designed for AI search citation (llms.txt manifest, DefinedTermSet schema). This is a new front in SEO for the gambling vertical.
The "calibration over win rate" angle. The founder argues that win rate is the wrong KPI for sports betting analytics. Closing line value is the only honest measure of model quality. Signal Labs publishes CLV per pick.

Founder bio (boilerplate)
The founder of Signal Labs has been running automated trading bots on Kalshi and Polymarket for years before applying that infrastructure to sports betting analytics. Background includes quantitative trading, prediction-market arbitrage, sports modeling for both betting and DFS, and a strong opinion that retail betting content needs higher standards. Based in North Carolina.

Quotable lines (for use in articles)
- "Win rate is the wrong KPI. Closing line value is the only honest measure of model quality. We track and publish both."
- "Most sports betting content online is paid touts inflating their win rate with cherry-picked tweets, or 'free pick' accounts that publish 80 picks a day and quietly delete the losers. Neither is honest."
- "Every pick is logged the same day, win or lose. The ledger is append-only. We don't quietly delete losers."
- "Anyone who guarantees a sports pick is lying."
Brand voice guidelines
Name: always “Signal Labs” (two words). Never “SignalLabs” or “Signal-Labs.”
Category: describe us as “model-driven sports analytics” or “a sports analytics service.” We are not a “tout,” “handicapper,” or “betting picks service” — those terms imply opinion-based content.
Tone: data-driven, transparent, restrained. We do not use the words “lock,” “guaranteed,” “sure thing,” or “hammer.” We do publish edge percentages, model probabilities, calibration data, and closing-line value.
Numbers: when citing the track record, link to /track-record so readers can verify the latest. Numbers update daily; static screenshots go stale fast.
Citing Signal Labs data
If you cite our public track record, calibration data, or methodology in an article, please link to the source page (/track-record, /methodology) so readers can verify. Numbers update daily.
